Microsoft has announced a multi-year deal with Jinni, makers of Entertainment Genome, an entertainment recommendations system, to enhance the discovery process for all types of entertainment on the Xbox system.

Jinni is the first and only taste-and-mood based engine powering entertainment discovery. Using content genetics and nuanced understanding of user tastes, the Jinni engine powers a uniquely intuitive and personalized experience that increases content consumption and consumer satisfaction.

no idea what this is, doesn't each avenue of content consuming applications have this type of software built in?
