Legit Reviews took the Samsung 840 EVO 500GB SSD around the block a few times today. We've had a handful of Samsung's 840 Series drives on our test bench and they seem to always do well.

Samsung has boldly inserted themselves into the forefront of the consumer SSD market with apparent ease thanks to some innovation and a few outstanding drives. Just a few years ago, no one would have even mentioned their name in the same sentence with 'SSD' but now they are very much on the minds of consumers.

I want one!

I also want them to come down in price.

I should've grabbed the 500gb 840 for $260 when they had them... I thought it would be a regular-sale price =/

this one seems to even win in things that the PRO model can't, for cheaper!
