Intel is now offering three new products designed to enable the next generation of RAID storage solutions for today's evolving data center and cloud computing demands. Intel® RAID SSD Cache, Intel® RAID High Availability and Intel® RAID RS3 Controllers offer exceptional data protection, faster performance, and ease of use. These new products are ideally suited for Big Data, cloud computing and other applications that require the lowest levels of latency, the highest throughput and the most reliable data availability.

Does Intel still use LSI SAS chips on their high-end RAID configurations?

These cards are LSI SAS 3008 and LSI SAS 3108 based, although they all fall into the entry level (3008) and mainstream (3108) product families. I believe that they're still using the 2208 based cards for the high-end products.
