Apple Reported to Have Acquired Chip Maker Passif

It was reported this week that Apple has purchased Passif, a company that specializes in manufacture of low-power wireless receivers. What Apple intends to use this tech for is anyone’s guess, but speculation points to the rumored iWatch or other wearable tech that may be on the drawing board.

The news of the Passif purchase follows a new pattern for Apple. The Cupertino, Calif.-based corporation isn't known for making lots of acquisitions.

Is the iWatch going to be used by Apple and/or the Government to spy on the users?

Yes, I know that is not what an iWatch would be, but it fit so perfectly.
