MetroPCS, the prepaid wireless service T-Mobile acquired in May is being expanded into 15 new markets. When T-Mobile acquired MetroPCS, one of the promises made to customers was an expanded market coverage. Since the takeover, T-Mobile has effectively doubled the MetroPC area of operations.
MetroPCS devices will tap into T-Mobile's 4G LTE network, where available. It went live in seven cities in March, and expanded to 116 earlier this month.
