Apple shut down its developers site last week and used the ‘down for maintenance’ excuse for the downtime. Apple has now notified its developers that the site was hacked and some private information may have been accessed. The site remains down for a complete overhaul of the site’s security protocol.

Last Thursday, an intruder attempted to secure personal information of our registered developers from our developer website. Sensitive personal information was encrypted and cannot be accessed, however, we have not been able to rule out the possibility that some developers’ names, mailing addresses, and/or email addresses may have been accessed.

Apple can't catch a break these days, can they.

The company really did die with Steve

^ Appears to be that way, but really, it was more of the 'hype' that simply died with Steve Jobs.
The company has been crap for the last half-decade.

"Sensitive personal information was encrypted and cannot be accessed, however, some... may have been accessed."

Funny...

so you guys are saying that no other company gets hacked.. give me a break!

Not so much other companies getting hacked, as a company and its user base making bold claims about their security being bulletproof. You still think Macs are immune from viruses?
