Supply and demand is the name of the game and NAND flash memory is presently a hot commodity. The growing market of tablets and smartphones is straining the supply, depleting stocks and contributing to rising prices.

Smartphones and tablets use embedded NAND solutions, such as eMMC and eMCP which can be easily integrated into space-constrained designs. In anticipation of seasonal demand increases, embedded NAND devices will remain in short supply during the third quarter.

HP should of released their memrister stuff this year. We need this stuff so bad now, it'll make storage space a joke. Yet they want to sit on it to milk NAND some more. so sad.
