I'll tell you why teens prefer Tumblr over Facebook and Twitter...porn GIFs. :D While we are on the subject, since when did teenagers start answering Pew poll questions?

In a deep report published on Tuesday, Pew Research explains that teenagers departing the social network's blue confines are looking for something more... real. More authentic. Which, ironically, was the initial draw of Facebook, one of the first social networks to require real names.

My sister who is in middle school uses tumblr instead of Twitter or facebook. She likes it because its quick and easy to post pictures and gifs and find other people who are interested in the same thing.

She refuses to use tumblr now since the Yahoo buyout, smart girl. She knows yahoo will mess it up so she deleted her account and moved on.

God I'm old. I only know, the most vague sense, what Tumblr is. Certainly never gone there.

She deleted her tumblr account based on what Yahoo MIGHT do? Yeah, real smart.

Yes... I realized my car was going to break down one of these days so I drove it off a cliff and bought a new one.

Yahoo can't have anything good? The sports site is tried and true, with the best free fantasy leagues.

I'm pretty sure it's been said before. Old people (parents trying to pretend to be cutting edge) use Facebook and Twitter. Rebellion demands teens go somewhere else to get away from the smell of adult diapers until they need jobs and start willing changing them for minimum wage and/or mixing up their meds.

Being a teenager, I find social media to be a waste of time.
Only reason I use it is to communicate because I don't own a phone.
Not owning a phone is entirely my choice too.
I'm not getting one until I have a job.
And once that happens, I'll probably stop using social media all together.

I remember when the kids were deciding Facebook was going to be the new thing and snubbed Myspace. Children don't mean nothing to social networking sites.

Oh wait.
