Is 70C normal (at idle) for an 1100T at stock clocks using an H100 cooler? I'm thinking not, but want to be sure before ripping my box apart this weekend.....

Nope, not even close to normal. 70 C is near the maximum temp of the 1100T, so something is majorly wrong.

Tsumi,

Thanks for the confirmation. I didn't think it was normal, maybe my H100 died... Gonna take the box apart this weekend.....

Hope you have the stock cooler laying around so you can still test it :)

My Antec 920 keeps my 1100 at 40 degrees Celsius. Your h100 should keep it at least that.

My H70 keeps my 1100T in the mid 30s. So you do have a problem.

So after doing some testing, it appears 'core temp' is the problem, every other utility and the bios says it's running mid 30's at idle.

Thanks for all the help. Great site, that's why I love [H].....

I recommend "open hardware monitor" for temp monitoring.

My Antec Kuhler 620 keeps my 1090T@4GHz at 22C idle. Ambient temperature is 20C. So definitely not normal.
