Windows 7 Media Share Problem

I have a weird problem with WMP12 (windows 7 home) not being able to share all my media to my PS3. This feature was working fine last year but then hurricane sandy flooded my house and my dlink router got flooded so I had to replace it. I replaced it with the Dlink DIR-655 router.

I want to share some of my movie and music folders to the ps3. The ps3 sees my computer and connects. However the problem is that I can only see 2 movie folders. If I want to share more folders, then the ps3 simply doesn't see it. Also I decided to not share those 2 folders that the ps3 does see, it has no effect. The ps3 still shows those 2 folders as being shared by the WMP12 despite the fact that I am not sharing any folder or media item. I tried adding mp3 files to be shared and it has no effect, ps3 simply doesn't see them. It seems like WMP12 is stuck on sharing only those 2 folders, even when I dont want them shared.

I upgraded the DIR-655 to the newest firmware.

What could be the problem? I have tried everything to no avail.
