I think the cool part was that from the perspective of the video the demolished bridge was hiding what is probably the new bridge. So one blew up and it was like "Ta-Da! New Bridge!"
 
That was cool, but they couldn't have done that around here. Many bridges were painted with a lead based rust inhibitor. EPA would have been all over dropping it in the river like that.

Way back when I worked for the DOT, they demo'd a concrete bridge. That was pretty cool.
 
Noticed the waterfront property for sale sign and first thought was 3 years from now some guy with too much money is going to completely trash his $200K boat on a piece of that they forget to get out.
 
yeah that was pretty cool. i wonder how long it takes them to get all that metal out of the water...
 
Some company is salvaging the metal and an artist is going to make sculptures out of it for the surrounding city.
 
This video clearly demonstrates how the world trade center was brought down with explosives.
