Hey everyone,

I'm having an issue with setting up Remote Computer Management in Server 2012.

My setup is as follows:
2 identical physical hosts (1 Hyper-V Server 2012 and 1 ESXi 5.1)
1 Active Directory Domain Controller installed as a VM in the ESXi host

I have my Hyper-V host already joined to the local test domain on the DC VM, but am having issues accessing disk management for the Hyper-V host in Remote Computer Management. When I try to load the page and view the drives in the DC VM it says "Error RPC unavailable".

Has anyone successfully setup Remote Computer Management in a Server 2012 install to manage a physical Hyper-V Server 2012 host?
If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I have tried these two methods but neither has worked:

On the machine or VM you want to RM, type in start "Allow" into Start, and click Allow a program through Windows Firewall. Scroll down till you see Windows Remote Management, then make sure Domain is checked. When you connect via RM you need to be connecting from a PC joined to that domain.

Thanks for the info I will have to try that when I get a chance. I was attempting to connect to the physical Hyper-V Server 2012 host through the domain controller that is virtualized on ESXi 5.1. It was tied to the same local domain through that controller and it was on there that I was having the "RPC server is unavailable" message. The message would show up every time I tried connecting to the Computer Management section but not the Hyper-V Management section.
