A programmer whose daughter wanted Pauline to be the heroine of Donkey Kong got her wish with a role reversal and Pauline becoming Mario’s rescuer. Mike Mika did a little hacking of the NES version to produce the desired outcome, which in this case, was one very happy daughter. :cool:
 
Ah....those were the days. I played the crap out of that on my colecovision.:)
 
Pretty neat.

Never really like Donkey Kong though, I'd rather play this instead

And if a parent has a particularily hairy child, they can reprogram it so they can play as Donkey Kong.
 
My uncle did this for me with the original Leisure Suit Larry. Unfortunately, he cast himself as Larry, and me as a prostitute.
 
Had a buddy in high school that dumped a ton of money in to DK and became the best around.
Then he switched to Pac-Man and dumped a ton of money in it; because the best around.
I could never do that because I never had any money.
