Distributive Computing has been around since 1997, but few people really know what it is and what good that it actually does, especially in the medical research field. Most people think of Seti@home as the best example, but that is just the most publicized side of DC. Check out the article and then mosey on over to our own DC Forum to join Team #33 and start folding for the [H]orde today.

These programs use the power of up to hundreds of thousands of computers around the world to create distributed supercomputers

Great article, thanks for sharing!
Fold and crunch on!

That article claims that Seti is the fastest out of the distribution projects, pretty sure F@H is faster. Not sure on the users.

^ I think they were just talking about BOINC-related clients, but I could be wrong.

Think I was just reading it wrong. It just says S@H is more popular. IE: More users using it.

I believe that Bitcoin, though its altruism could be debated, is hands down the fastest, followed by F@H.
