Under the spotlight today is the Node 605, a HTPC chassis sporting typical Scandinavian styling and allowing compatibility for ATX motherboards. In true Fractal Design fashion, Node 605 is designed with silence as its primary purpose, low-noise fans, a three-speed fan controller and noise damping material should all assist with keeping noise levels to an absolute minimum.
Sigh. Another fail in the HTPC case segment. Card readers and front audio ports for something that sits in a rack yet lacks an IR remote receiver built-in.
Yeah, I looked into this case since I'm thinking of putting my HTPC into an actual HTPC case, but decided it won't work for me. Really sucks, there aren't many HTPC cases that are functional, versatile, and affordable compared to standard cases.
