Ugh, these two are going at it again? If the EU and Google can't get along, we're just going to have to put them in time out.

European data watchdogs said on Monday they plan to take action against Google by this summer for its privacy policy, which allows the search engine to pool user data from across all its services ranging from YouTube to Gmail.

Good on them (from the UK). Recently moved to Android from a ye olde 6.1 Windows Mobile and am shocked at the data they gather from my phone !
 
Or people could simply limit the number of Google services they use.

Wow ... people sure complain about a service they get for FREE ... maybe Google should give them their privacy but charge for their services ... seems fair :)
