Warm? A4-3400 $20AR , MSI FM1 $40AR @TD

Definitely a hot price for the cpu. It's perfect for a basic computer. I'd get one, but I don't know what I'd do with it.

Newegg has a fm1 board for $25 after rebate. I'd get the board and cpu but I have a 2 older pc's just sitting on the floor doing nothing so no point wasting money since it will probably sit on the floor as well.

I have a friend who is trying to make himself a very cheap gaming box.

How does the a4 3400 stand up to modern games? if he's not trying to max out eye candy and whatnot, can we get that plus a 7700 series radeon to do some easy gaming?

FM1 are Athlon II CPUs with iGPUs about 5450/5550/5570 maybe near 5670. No L3 Cache.
They only Dual Crossfire with 6450, 6570, 6670.
