Tips on how to use this resource:
- The accuracy of test equipment and test methods can only go so far. A difference of 1* C or 1 dB(A) is usually within the margin of error.
- Some reviews measure airflow and others measure the temperature of a processor. This is an important difference. If you are looking for a case fan, you should be looking for airflow. If you are looking for a heatsink fan, you should be looking for heatsink performance (or airflow in a restricted environment).
- Don't just trust one fan roundup, try to find the same fan in many different roundups. If you see a single fan (such as the Gentle Typhoon) consistently placing at the top of the chart in different roundups then you know that it is a good fan.
