Raise your hand if you think this will work. Anyone? Hello?

The UK's major internet service providers have been asked to block three more file-sharing websites, the BBC can reveal. The British Phonographic Industry (BPI), which acts on behalf of rights holders, wants ISPs to prevent access to Fenopy, H33t and Kickass Torrents.

Well this might not work, but when BPI disconnects the whole internet then we will be hooped :D

This is a quality Barbra Streisand Effect. :D

The ban of The Pirate Bay taught everyone in the UK about how to find and use a Proxy when doing naughty things. Sorry, I mean when downloading Linux Distros. Now this new request for a ban has just introduced us to three new sites that very few people knew existed. Quality advertising. I bet these sites get a huge spike in traffic over the next few days.

Oh - and please update the story a bit. This is the BPI asking the ISPs. The ISPs will then refuse and tell the BPI to go and get a court order first. None of the major ISPs put in blocks without court orders.

Phonograph? That right there should tell you how outdated the whole record industry is!

Also going to check out Fenopy and H33t right now! :D

I hadn't heard of any of these places, but now they're in my bookmarks for later.

Your post made it clear to me as I was reding it "pornographic industry" scratching my head because UK doesn't do porn. Too fugly for anyone to be interested in such a thing. Yet there's octopus porn too, so there goes my argument.

Yeah I read it as British Pornographic Industry at first also.

Ben Dover, from the UK usually has some hot women in his videos, probably enough to change your mind.
