ASUS Radeon HD 7870 DirectCU II TOP Review - ASUS has a new custom cooled and factory overclocked version of the Radeon HD 7870 known as the ASUS HD 7870 DirectCU II TOP. We examine how well ASUS's DirectCU II cooling technology allows us to overclock this next generation video card. We will compare it to a Radeon HD 7950 and a GeForce GTX 670.

This card is extremely light, I was very suprised and expected the cooler yip be a big hunk of metal, which it is not. Was very deceptive when handling it.

These coolers could be the best after market coolers out there.

Man, if the pages and pages of spirited discussion about this card are any indication, AMD is in some pretty deep doodoo right now. Or maybe it's just the holiday?

"Prices on AMD video cards have been falling all around it. We've seen prices drop on Radeon HD 7970, we've seen prices drop on Radeon HD 7950, and we've even seen prices drop on Radeon HD 7770. However, the one constant that hasn't budged as much as those video cards is the Radeon HD 7870."

Waiting to see what happens with Nvidia's mid-range 768 shader offerings?
