Self Portrait Machine

This definitely reminds me of the tv show How It's Made. They have that artist who makes an entire drawing with one pen stroke, but they don't have a guy with a computer that does it in one pen stroke!

Frankly, I'd rather watch this thing as an intro to a how it's made segment than that artist.
 
Yeah, kinda neat I guess. I think I'll stick to my phone's camera though. :)

I think using the hand probably gives it subtle irregularities that make seem more hand-drawn. A rigidly held pen may look too artificially generated.
