Cisco is projecting that the world will generate roughly 110 exabytes of data per month by 2016. Feel free to insert your own "and that's just the porn..." jokes here. ;)

We’re on pace to generate 1.3 zettabytes of data in 2016, about four times more than we create today, according to the latest data out from Cisco. To put that in perspective, Cisco helpfully tells us that’s more than 38 million DVDs streamed in an hour. Or, you can think of it as a 1 followed by 21 zeros.

No steve, those are only the videos of kittens doing cute things on youtube, GOSH.

It's a count of how much MORE money they'll be making! Cha-ching!

1.3 zettabytes a day huh, it would be a lot higher but the world didn't spring for the 2 zettabyte data plan and now it has to pay for 300 exabytes worth of overages.

In other news, Verizon reports record annual earnings for 2016.

Imagine how much more it could be if no anti-competition efforts were successful...

I think it will go down due to Cable/DSL/FIOS/SatLinks/Mobile Broadband charging for additional usages.

"And that's just the porn"

What porn? Porn's sucked since early 2000 when all the supermodel pornstars with the massive breasts, impossible bodies and wide thick hips quit or just got too old, and with the advance of the internet, porn studios won't take the risk in paying pornstars decent money anymore, cause they are the blackest fucking hearted CEO's in the world, period. They won't fund a porn movie unless the 10K they pay a movie star will net them at least over 300 million (Not joking, have a friend who is an accountant for a porn company)

Given that the internet is pretty much a free pass on piracy for porn, and studio's can't expect those hyper fat profits anymore because they don't have a stranglehold on the media, porn stars are lucky to get 1-2K a shoot these days, even ones in high demand

So now because they are paid only 1-2K tops, most porn stars today look like underfed strung out crackwhores with too much make-up =(

And the funniest thing is, with the advances of technology where a $400 1080p camcorder has 40x the video quality actual film video camera's had 20-30 years ago, shooting porn is cheaper then ever, yet they still demand insane prices for "complete" films

Only companies like SCORE etc that do subscriber based media and sell videos wholesale bulk is making a killing in the digital age, studio's stuck in the dark ages and try to sell $50 DVD's are getting slaughtered like crazy
