Microsoft Accused of Leaking RDP Attack Code

An Italian security researcher recently discovered that someone at Microsoft or someone from the Microsoft Active Protections Program (MAPP) leaked the proof-of-concept code into the wild. In either case it is a serious breach of protocol from Microsoft.

"Given that a proof-of-concept code is publically available, we recommend customers apply the security update as soon as possible to be protected."

Looks like from what Microsoft is saying that it was one of the trusted partners that it was leaked from.

Perhaps the 'trusted partner' was experiencing slow AV sales and decided that needed fixing.
