JK Rowling’s Pottermore to Open in April

After seven months of revamping the interactive site and moving to a new Internet infrastructure to accommodate high traffic volumes, the Harry Potter site Pottermore is finally prepared to open in April to all traffic. The site has been in closed beta for 1M testers since last summer.

Full launch was initially scheduled for October, but the immense popularity of the website among users – 550m page views were made in just two months – meant it was delayed until 2012.

"Pottermore." LOL Sounds like the name a wealthy pothead would give his house.

So this is basically a vanity site for Rowling to hawk more Potter books and pass of her scribblings to her lemmings.
