Gee, it is so generous of these scumbags to donate money to charity that they stole from ordinary people. Not only does this hurt people like you and I, it hurts the charities that have to return the ill-gotten money as well. :(

Anonymous also posted a link on Twitter to a site containing the email, phone number and credit number of a U.S. Homeland Security employee. The employee, Cody Sultenfuss, said he had no warning before his details were posted. "They took money I did not have," he told The Associated Press in a series of emails, which did not specify the amount taken. "I think 'Why me?' I am not rich."

Besides, the charities that received the money have to give it all back...so the donations end up costing them money in labor / manpower to fix the mess created by chargebacks afterwards.
 
All these jerks end up doing is costing us more money in fees and whatever else expense the CC company's can pass along to the consumers ...I wish they would grow up already

It's funny how the truly evil regimes of the world seem to have no secrets worth "exposing", yet every police force and private banking firm in America is deemed worthy of "exposing".

When it comes to the basic concept within a very complex environment of writing out truth what you want others to hear and know it as (whether or not it really is the truth), it becomes a situation where the honest person can never really know what is and isn't true. Conspiracies can go both ways; legitimacy never fully, truly known. Where can one really set the boundaries when all their lives they have been unconfirmingly preached truth as false, and false as true?

You may utilize the concept of critical thinking, but even then, you will never really truly know the full story, and by what degree your conclusions and ideas are actually true (or false). Critical thinking serves the purpose of allowing us to be unique and intelligent beings, and without it we would just be mere slaves with no life in the masses, or without ultimate purpose.
 
This headline is in typical fashion misleading; they did not steal from me or most (if not all) the people reading it.

It works like this:

Scenario #1: Anon steals money from government employees.

Government employees are paid by money collected from tax revenues.
Private citizens pay taxes.
Therefore, Anon stole from private citizens.
You are a private citizen, thus...
Anon stole money from you.

Scenario #2: Anon steals money from non-goverment employees.

Anon committed a federal crime.
Federal crimes are investigated by the FBI.
The FBI is paid by money collected from tax revenues.
Private citizens pay taxes.
Therefore, Anon stole from private citizens.
You are a private citizen, thus...
Anon stole money from you.

yes, i think so, considering how much fraud banks do daily to screw the people of your nation and those around the world, same with most government agencies and police forces who have their own agenda's.

No, the people have done more damage to our country than any other group in history. When our constituents don't give a crap and the only thing the people are concerned about are their pocketbooks and getting out of as much work as possible it is only obvious that the government will do whatever they want for as long as they want until the people stand up for themselves. America, the land of the lethargic, greedy, and spoiled generation. Actually, it just isn't America pretty much the entirety of Western Civilization is screwed.

The funny thing is ask any of these Stratfor haters/anon supporters what Stratfor actually does and why they are so evil as to deserve hacking and they can't tell you. They have no idea. The reasons they are for it:

1) They are anti-corporate jackasses (most likely surfing on their shiny new iPads/Macbooks) who think any corporation = bad and thus worthy of being shit on.

2) They hear the name "Stratfor" and think it sounds evil and scary.

3) They love the script kiddies of anon and think that if they do something, it must be righteous, so since they did this, it has to be in the right.


For those that don't know, which is most people, Stratfor is actually properly known as Strategic Forecasting, Inc. They are an intelligence firm, or think tank if you prefer meaning that they provide clients with information and predictions on the world. We aren't talking things like espionage, they don't do targeted things at all, they just put out reports as to what is going on and what they think will go on.

Companies use them to have an idea of how to manage risk and so on. More or less they use them for what you should be able to use the news for, but can't because it sucks so bad. In fact the news media tends to use them to get information.

That's also why in addition to big companies you see people like Doctors Without Borders as a client. Reason is that they operate in dangerous places and they want to have an idea just how dangerous things are and if they are likely to get worse.


All the people hating on them are just uninformed jackasses who seem to think any company (other than Apple) sucks.
 
Politicians do this all the time. they do something corrupt, offer the money they "made" (our tax dollars) to a charity in their name (getting a tax break) and the sheep forgive them yet again.
 
So what does Anonymous thinks about most of the money beening returned by charitys?

Yeah, lets steal credit cards numbers from working citizens who make a FAIR (read: FAIR, not overpaid) wage and actually contribute to society. What have these retards done lately to HELP society? When my goddamn Credit Card fraud protection disappears or turns into a monthly fee, Im not going to be happy.

However, I have to admire them for their continued existence. I would have thought they would have all ran and hid a while back after the Sony thing. With the amount of resources our government has, I'm really surprised we even hear about Anon at all.

%100 i agree, a government should though, in a perfect world, do what is right to make things better. not milk the system more and more and screw as many people as they can who don't directly line their pockets with "donations"

jimmyb's attitude is indicative of the attitude of the youth of today, and that is EXACTLY why our society is circling the drain. Young people are too busy excoriating America to understand that they are being brainwashed by the truly evil in society. With socialism/communism(which is what Anonymous supports) inevitably comes a blood purge of millions of innocent people. It starts out with dividing the classes, and blaming one class for all the ills of society. In America, it's the rich, in china, it was the educated class. You guys with the perpetual boner for a "just" society(socialism, in other words) are destroying this country.
