The final nail in Righthaven’s coffin? We reported earlier this week that Righthaven was headed down the crapper and it is appearing that the final blows are being struck as we speak. It looks like the copyright troll is headed for bankruptcy: Perhaps there is justice in the world. It couldn’t happen to a nicer concern. :D

Righthaven’s bleak financial picture also threatens its ability to continue with appellate court review of important copyright cases.

Please excuse my pessimism, but, there is no justice here. The suits and the lawyers still got a paycheck, and will just restart shop elsewhere under a new name and continue on trying to screw regular people using laws meant to address for profit copyright infringers.

I agree that there is no justice, but not for that reason. There is no justice because IP laws still exist; laws which violate the rights of others to do with their property what they have the right to do. Were there justice, not only would Righthaven go away, but IP laws would be abolished.

There are a lot of people that would love to be the one nailing that final nail in their coffin ROFL.
