The very popular Android browser Dolphin has been found to have a major security flaw in newer versions of its browser. The introduction of a feature called Webzine has potentially exposing data to hackers.

In addition to failing to inform users of this dubious practice up front, Dolphin’s developers also made poor implementation decisions that exacerbated the privacy risk.

That's why I use Firefox or just stock android.

I'd say about 1% or less of android users actually use that Dolphin browser, so meh

*face palm*

I only use Dolphin but I just use my phone for casual browsing and nothing else. Welp, I guess I have to find an alternative.

Really? The last time I used Opera was in my Blackberry days. I may have to check it out.

Stock android browser for me. I tried Dolphin a while back but it didn't seem significantly better so I went back to stock.

Interesting. No doubt give Android's open nature and enormous popularity right now that this kind of thing is only going to get worse. It will be interesting just how bat things get. I doubt it will ever be like Windows but it could start to become a big headache.

use opera mini, not opera mobile, I had far less issues with it and its smaller

opera is my favorite but so far lastpass has only released it's plugin for dolphin. soon as they make one to work with opera mini or mobile on android then i'll be saying a fond farewell to dolphin.

On opera mobile right now. They hooked me with early hardware acceleration support for my Atrix and I haven't looked back, love it. This coming from a die hard firefox user on the desktop.

All I used was Dolphin. I just installed Opera to try it out after reading that article.

I've used SkyFire extensively in the past but after switching ROMs I haven't put it back on in awhile. I do not do much web browsing on my phone though.

Opera Mobile/Mini would not work on a couple of websites I visit, so I stayed with stock or SkyFire. May need to give Opera and an updated FF another chance.

I've used Dolphin HD since April of this year.

Pretty much just as a quick way to watch porn when I'm 'on the go'. *shrugs*

:D

i only use Dolphin for NFL rewind since it allows me to resize flash windows.
Dolphin is great for flash content thats ill suited for small screens, lol.

I use Dolphin Mini, doesn't have all those same ridiculous "features" that Dolphin HD does.

Has already been fixed. Now if you trust them with your information in the future is up to you.
