Nuance Communications to Buy Swype, Inc.

Swype, Inc. is being acquired by voice recognition software giant Nuance Communications for $100M. If you own a smartphone, you probably know of Swype, one of the best known keyboard imput technologies around.

While the move may mean less competition, it also opens the door to some exciting possibilities that would not previously have been possible due to the potential for litigation between Swype and Nuance.
