While I am sure this would get annoying pretty fast, I don't see how it is different from all the other stupid crap people post on Twitter. :D

The experiment translated into an average of 40 Twitter messages an hour, for a total of 478 by the end of the day. The 140-characters-or-fewer fragments ranged from reports of car accidents and a suicide threat to hang-up calls and “suspicious person possible armed with sword.”
 
There are people who buy police scanners to follow stuff like this. Honestly this is one of the better uses for that service. I do find it amusing that people got annoyed and quit following due to it though. Just goes to prove that most of the crap posted on twitter is nonsense.

Yes, it certainly isn't the pretentious status updates that people post as if the entire world is interested that they are at that moment at Starbuck's getting a crappucino.
