I haven't seen them this cheap in months. The 598 is also available now, but at $250, it's hardly a value compared to this.

For a non audiophile are these a big upgrade over the HD280 pros? I love the sound on those but find them rather uncomfortable.

yes, you get upgrade in sound quality, but HD 280 is a closed headphone, meaning sound doesn't leak out.

HD 595 is an open headphone, sound escapes. so if u dont mind sharing ur music or porn in the open go for HD 595

oh and the HD 595 is more comfortable.

EDIT: Scratch the above. Your post wasn't even offensive, it basically was constructive criticism. Thank you for telling me that, I'll keep that in mind in the future. :)
