Hey Guys,
I must have spent at least 8 hours over the past 6 months researching various answers and topics about the ATI Radeon 5870-Series and Apple Cinema Display....
Knowing the both do not work together for whatever reason, Many people say they get a black screen or need to use this adapter: http://www.atlona.com/pdf/manuals/AT-DP200_manual.pdf
I have an ASUS Original HD 5870.. Obviously Asus is one of the few vendors of this card who has not yet provided a BIOS Update for the card. Some people have said BIOS updates fixed this issue, whereas the answer is otherwise certainly unclear...
I would like to know if its possible to run a Cinema Display on my card, or if I should sell my card and buy the EyeFinity Edition Sapphire 5870 with 2GB and 6 Mini-DP Connections... And if I did, Should that not work natively with the Apple Screen?
Of course, You could always reccomend a monitor as nice as the Apple LED-Backlit H-IPS screen, But, I don't know of any... and I have 300$ worth of Gift Certificates to blow at the Apple Store.
