Gamut, 30" monitors, and gamming

Is it correct that Wide Gamut monitors display incorrect colors in games due to the color pallet and that there is no real way to correct this?. If so what are the options for standard gamut at 30"? LCD TVs are standard right?

Apples
Dell WFP3007 (non -HC)
Samsung 305t (without the +)
