Wish I didn't put the fan on the HDD's as I can't get the cover over the system now or else it would be all completely enclosed!!!

Temps are low as now, 21ish on idle at 3ghz OC'd 334x9 ran othos and 37 under 100% load.

Time to OC more :D
11112007577.jpg

Going to get a 90deg power cable so I can put the rest of the front panel back on, run a short cable to the back and make a back plate with plug so it plugs in like normal at the back :)
11112007578.jpg

Now idles low 20's on 3.4ghz OC'd and max 42 on full load orthos

Took the fan off and moved it beside the XFI and 8800GTX to get more heat out of that area, need to cut a bigger whole and make a duct o the side of the case for the Ultra 120 for better flow :)

The small hole is from my Thermaltake Blue Orb 2 and will be enlarged with a duckt and mesh for the Ultra 120 :)

Made a 90 deg cable to fit up front behind the pannles, modded the HDD rack to fit the 75gb and 500gb HDD's underneath the PSU with a fan to take the heat away!

Temps hardly change now with the case on, looks pretty sweet IMO stoked!

Ok the Thermalright HR-03 and HR-11 arrived today with the rest of the Noctua's.

I did a few checks before assembling and it looked tight for the HR-11 but do-able.. But coming to the HR-03 I had no idea where my sound car was going to go and last resort was to bend the HR-03 90def so the fan would point up but the rad would stick out of the case a little..

Lucky for me, everything fits perfect as per photo's below :D

Overall reaction is "****in stoked" Yes my soundcarde is between the xfx 8800GTX xXx and the HR-03 rad hahaha.

So far temps sit 17-19deg cooler on idle for the xfx 8800GTX xXx whcih I'm more than wrapped with!

Still need to finish front bay covers, acrylic side panels and tidy up the cables.

OMG that is some awesome!

Could please tell or explain how to the PSU mod in front - since it makes the SUGO so much more AWESOME!

YOu seriously make the impossible possible by using every single bit of space available ..

I love the the PSU mod and sound card placement trick .. awersome .. !!!!.

Cheers guys :)

The PSU mod is easy, all I have done is cut right side (facing the case) of the CD drive bays off turned the PSU over and there is enough room between the front of the case and the PSU for the cables etc :)

Then when I hatd it powder coated I riveted the platform the PSU is on to the front of the case!

Looks great!

Wouldn't making the fan on the Thermalright out help with temps?

Tried that and no it doesn't actually, it's better pulling the cooler outside air in over the heatsink rather than pulling the hot air off the back of the GTX and general hot case air over the heatsink and out :)

Cheers

Phenomenal work!

I just assemble an Ultra MX-6 with a E8400 that is cooled by an Ultima 90. I though it came out very nice for my first SFF, but your work puts mine to shame.

You are the man when it comes to cabling.

What are you using to cool left side hard drive?

Cheers! This is my first SFF but I've had it over a year from the first pics up the top so have had trial and error and alot of planning.

The HDD's have the fan "near them" But not directly over them and keeps them at a normal 35ish deg C and the HDD under the PSU is about 28-low 30's with the fan right beside it.

Thanks again for your comments! :D

Wow SolidWorks 08 is awesome..

Got a guy making these up for me :)

Replaced the PSU fan with a 120 Noctua CPU fan running directly off Mobo power with the ultra silent resistor on it. Gives more flow than stock and is still quet as with the ultra silent resistor :)

30cm cathodes turned out to be too big with the latest mods so will try 10cm when I can be bothered.

Waiting on the acrylic windows to be cut within the next week or so.

All is coming along nice for xlan :)

Yea I was supprised.

I bought the HR-03 and HR-11 with no clue as to if it would fit at all. Then I noticed the PCI slot would still be free and put the sondcard there!

Works out perfectly :)

Damn nice rig. You got me smiling there bro :D

But when I saw that HR-03, I immediately though SELFOWNED HE WON'T BE ABLE TO USE HIS SOUNDCARD, and then I see that.

Nice and original idea, I would've never taken that risk, good work mate.

Hahaha cheers man had a laugh at " SELFOWNED" But yea I seriously had my doubts when I ordered all the GPU cooing (HR-11/HR-03) but worked out in the end and I feel the soundcard is not in any danger as I have accuretly monitored the temp with my high tech finger temp gauge and it's not any hotter maybe cooler than when it was in the open because the heat is spread away from the sound card and sucked out by the 92mm Noctua :)

Cheers for you comment!

This is by far one of the coolest SFFs I've seen. Any estimate on build cost for the case?

Cheers,

Build cost for the complete box? or JUST the case.

He uses an external drive.

well done. I have to admit I wasn t a fan from the early work in progress pics and I actually felt bad for your case but the most recent pics remove all doubts, you pulled it off. Can t wait to see the finished panels.

Some really nice engineering there! Makes want to get off my ars and finish my not so unique Evolution. :D
