Is there no SATA DVD-RW that supports DVD-ROM?

This seems like a fairly standard request, yet I can't seem to find any SATA drives that support bitsetting the drives to burn to DVD-ROM.

Am I just missing something here? Where are they?

My Plextors do it, and I'm almost sure the Samsung one would, as the IDE version does it.

What do you mean by "bitsetting to burn to dvd-rom"?

"Bitsetting" is the act of telling a DVD writer to burn specific media (IE, a DVD+R, for example, to become a DVD-ROM. So you would burn your information to it and it would appear as a DVD-ROM rather than a DVD+R to other devices, like a DVD Player, Computer, etc).

Kil4Thril: I'll have to investigate that more thoroughly. The Samsung website's chart says it doesn't support DVD-ROM writing though, which gives me pause.
