So for todays progress we bring you the EK supremacy "Furb Edition" :)
It actually came out quite well (And it was her idea since she did not want it all too pink )

We hope you like it as well, until soon .

I dig the idea of doing this with my son. Granted, he's only 2 right now, so he's still using plastic screwdrivers to fix stuff. Good work on good dad. Plenty of different ways to keep it [H]!

Well i finally got the MDF together(Cut and Meassured)

There is more where that came:)

Never realy worked with MDF but i am very excited to see how it turns out.

And since we will paint it all we did not think itnecessary to go with a very classy and expensive wood.

Probably start on the creation next week.

Thank you for checking out my Buildlog.

Keep you posted.

Well we found some memory for the project,
We will be going with 2x 2Gb of Corsair 1333 mhz and 2 x 2Gb 1333 of some sort of Gskill memory that we found laying around,
so together we will be going with four sticks(that we mosly do for astethics 4 looks nicer than 2)

and since we are nt going to build a high end gaming rig there is really no need for anything more than 8gb of ram.
even for games not more than that needed,

More updates soon,keep you posted.

Starting on the prep work for painting the EK monarch ram modules,
first i have to remove the EK Logos,(without Damaging them, else i will have to order new ones, not that they cost much its just timeconsuming)

Here a few shots.

For today we did the EK monarch Furb edition.
The Monarch ram modules where Coated very lightly so we don´t loose cooling cababilaty and they where only painted on the outside,so that the thermal pads can transfer heat faster.

We hope you like it,we where quite pleased with the outcome.

Here are a few Pictures of the process.

Build of the year right here! My kid will be wicked jealous when I show here how this turns out, might get her interested in messing with PC parts herself!

Today i went Hunting for an old case,(needed the pci slots and io mount,
got one in a local repair shop,so i took it with me home and started drilling the things out that i needed.
And also made the cut out in the Motherboard tray (for the 24pin.)

Here are a few pics :)

360 Radiator Cutout is done,(not sure if we will be making it a dual 360 system, since there is no need to ,but we will see)

I would really much like to put in 3 120 radiators and couple them together ,just for the looks of it :)

Hey everyone, and a HAPPY NEW YEAR.

no i have not given up on the project for those of you wondering, but since i have a real daytime job i was quite busy over the hollyday season.
But we are back with the Project.and eager to get some new ideas into the build and play around with some different stuff and materials.

Well Today we just test fitted some fans to see where it goes from here, how to fit the powersupply and soforth.
trying to put the cabinet togetheher this week so we can go from there .
we quickly realised that the screw jut had to go ,so we start to drill holes just so the head of the screws falls into the wood and doesn´t stand out.

also might have a surprise next week so stay tuned for that.

Thank you all for showing this build you´re interest.

Probably a dumb question, but how are you planning on insulating the back of the card from the bracket? I dig the novel solution, btw. Also, plus, who needs sacrificial wood when you have sacrificial bricks :)

I'm sure you've already thought about it, but as spugm1r3 said, you should definitely have some kind of (electrical) insulation on that bracket. Don't want to go shorting out your expensive GPU before you get to use it. ;)

Well got some acrylic today, will do some work with that, here are a few pics to show ,what i was thinking of.
Also had a package one the way today,(But f******* Customs didn´t let it through)hopefully it will work out next week.

also placed an order for some watercooling stuff :)

I wish all of you a nice weekend, and stay tuned for more updates.
