Well I logged in to my Netflix account an requested a disc so we'll see how long it takes for me to get mine, I'm just curious if it's better than the 360 one because I have a lot of stuttering problems with the 360 one, but my HTPC doesn't skip a beat so I use that one.

I just tried it out and I really like it. The picture quality is better and I don't have to hear my xbox fans roaring.

If this turns out to be comparable in quality to the 360s streaming I don't feel that I'll have much reason to keep the 360 around.

Happy to report it works wonderful!

UI is very smooth and prompt. Same quality as PC streaming it seems (no complaints there, either).

It also syncs your PC and PS3. So say you started watching a movie on your PC, when you play it on your PS3 it will resume where you left off.

edit: but doesn't seem to sync backwards

Glad to hear the first reports. I've still not gotten mine yet. Can you confirm you need to put the disc in every time you want to watch a movie?

Its not bad but I see zero reason to switch from my 360 to PS3 for netflix. besides my harmony remote doesn't work on my ps3. And no im not pumping out 60$ for the adapter.

no netflix hd streaming for me, funny thing is im using mobile broadband!! BT cant even provide me with a 256kb landline connection!! Its suprising how many people in the UK are cutting their landlines off and switching to mobile broadband in their homes!

I was definitely pleased by the quality of the streaming. I did some SD and HD last night wirelessly to my ps3 with no problems, quality was great. The only problem i have is the amount of time it takes to display cover art for the title when browsing. But hey, if thats my biggest gripe, then i'm good to go.

Some negatives:
Can't search for a specific title
Movie lists limited to 100 movies (ie comedy only has 100 movies, action only has 100 movies, etc)
Fast forward is a bit choppy, takes a while for the UI to show up and update the slides

Charter......I had a 10 mb/s contract with them and they recently doubled it for free. Guess they're feeling the competition. BTW, I don't see much of a real world difference as the bottleneck usually occurs upstream to whatever source you're accessing.

Really like it. Can't wait until they make it a native app and boost the GUI presentation. Load times don't bother me. They are about the same with my 360 sans the thumbnail loading which takes a few seconds to load. Nothing horrible.

Agreed. If there is a specific movie I want to search for, I just jump back to the PS3 browser, add it to my Netflix queue and hop back in.
