saw this earlier too. Going to drop by after work and crack one open.
opened a 3tb and its hard to do without breaking a few tabs, though when i checked the hard drive had its own warranty on the seagate site (i.e. even bare it still had a warranty). I put another drive in the enclosure and works with that as well (though it doesnt power down properly)
Are you saying the warranty is still good?Same here, my 3TB internal drives had their own warranty
Here's a LG 50" 1080p plasma for $500. (Price shows at checkout)

I went to Costco with the intention of buying a couple. In the end, I just couldn't bring myself to buy another POS Seagate drive. For just $3 more per TB, I can buy a 3TB WD drive for $130 at Microcenter.

Great info!I hope this helps others looking for some deals on 4TB internal drives.
Thanks for the great info! I might just pick one of these up.I bought two of these drives tonight so I thought I'd give my findings to my fellow [H]'ers.
Per the slickdeals thread, I seeked out solely the ones that had the Windows 7 logo on the packaging instead of the Windows 8 logo. Apparently the Win8 ones are the newer production runs that have 5900 RPM drives inside of them that are non-warrantied outside of the enclosure.
I grabbed two of the Windows 7 compatible logo packages and got them home. Opening it wasn't very difficult at all, I didn't break any tabs nor actually end up making any prying marks. Both of the drives inside were Barracuda XT 4TB drives, ST4000DX000 7200RPM drives. Currently I am doing a long test on the first of two drives and plan to install them both into my PC in a RAID1 configuration.
Both are warrantied until November 2015. I find it slightly amusing the drive taken out of the case gives you an extra 9 months of warranty.
I hope this helps others looking for some deals on 4TB internal drives. They seem to run rather quietly, which is always a nice thing.

B&H has it for $166 shipped, no tax in California or most other states so it's cheaper.
