Does anyone know, off-hand, if Dell Registered ECC DDR3 is generally interchangeable with other manufacturers' boards? I'm pretty sure it should but curious if anyone knows first-hand.

I'm trying to see if Dell ECC DDR3 out of a c6105 server would work on my Supermicro H8QG6-F ...

I've used Dell's memory on other boards with no problem....but I'm pretty sure that was in the DDR2 days.

As far as I am aware, Dell uses standard memory on all their systems. Except for a few select systems, and those have soldered memory chips. BTW I used to work for Dell.
