Usually when we see marketing moves like this we think of $200, $300, or even $400 motherboards. This MSI platform rings in at the $138 mark, which spikes this motherboard in the value category as well.

..Thnx for the review Kyle&Dan - these motherboards have come a long way, though all using the same hub, Z97 in this case, allows for a lot of refinement - plus it's pretty easy to find the right s/ware as you showed. Yes, the codec is crappy but good discreet sound cards still sound better and given the price of this mobo..?? Definite value board!!
