AMD Duron and intel inside?

Yea... but it also has a Duron sticker on it, which is AMD.

What kind of cooling do you have on that thing? I might have to overclock my celeron 466... have to flash the bios as the cheap HP motherboathdoesnt have setting for that sort of thing,.

an old Coolermaster hs/f nothing special
any Celeron II will OC to atleast 900mhz,

mine will go that high but I don't really want to push it

Those are my lan party servers.....they run FreeBSD, but hey the game servers emulate linux :D

I will have to get a pic of my main BSD box for my casa though. /me has no digicam :(

wow big motha, wild guess but with a game server like that the Lan party shows up at your place rather then you going to a lan party :p

yeah, I don't even use that box for my home lan parties, it uses WAY WAY too much electricity (3x 500watt PSU:( ) but I am having a larger lan party with ~60 people soon and it will be a game server there.....

feh thats going to take 12 people to move up the stairs:p

What Kinda case do you have there? I like it.

Its a Chenbro .NET case. I'm fairly sure Chenbro doesn't make them any more, but they can still be found.

here's a monitor pic (excuse the mess)

I'll see if I can snap off an interior pic this weekend. The inside is ugly... I definately never planned for these cases to be open.

The one below it is also a .NET . I was able to toss a bunch of older systems and fit the drives/accessories in these big cases ... they're very well built too.

holy crap thats nice. the cooling seems like a bit much for what kind of hardware you have on it though.

Ive got two

FIrst one is a hp pavilion:
Pentium 166MHz
64MB Ram
1MB integrated video
2GB hdd
4x CD-ROM
Its running gentoo, and its basic purpose is a debug machine for php, perl, etc

Second is my laptop, dell cpxh500gt:
Pentium3 500MHz
128MB Ram
8mb ati rage mobility
11GB hdd
6x dvd-rom
Thats running slack10 with gnome, basically just to do school work and listen to music

Heh, finally something I can relate to. Since I'm a old gnarly hardware/unix fanatic I've collected a bunch of weird computers over the years. Enjoy. :)

Count.sprawl (workstation):
Athlon 3200+ Barton
1GB PC3200 RAM
Some leadtek nforce2 board
Radeon 9800pro 128MB
Running custom tweaked Gentoo

Tifa.sprawl (web, ftp, nfs and tftp server):
Fujitsu t-bird or something
PII-300
128MB RAM
Head-less
250GB WD-disk (loud as *beep*)

Spike.sprawl (soon-to-be server):
Digital Alpha PWS500au
384MB RAM
head-less (In the process of installing gentoo via serial console)

Fecko.sprawl (toybox):
SGI Indigo2
200mhz MIPS 4K CPU
256MB RAM
Extreme(tm) graphics option
2x4GB SCSI-disks
Irix 6.5.21 (not a linux but it's still a *nix ;) )

Neuro.sprawl (slaptop):
Asus S1300N
Pentium-M 1.3ghz
256MB RAM
20GB HD
Slackware 10

Spiff.sprawl(toybox):
Sun SparcStation4
120mhz
32MB RAM
500MB HD
Debian 3.0r1 (Haven't fired it up in ages so I can't remember the exact specs)

pics of my dedicated box (scroll down)

it's just a celeron 400mhz, 256mb ram, slackware 9.1, 8gb HDD, and a radio. you know. the standard stuff:p of course, it hasn't been on for a month or two because my lan cable isn't long enough and i don't like bridging connections on my XP box in my room. so it is about to become a parts donor. o well.

i have slackware 9.1 on my main box too, but i don't have pics of that. it isn't anything special ATM.

my server (P3 450, 256mb ECC, 2x60gb RAID0, 18gb disk, 8gb boot disk) is a plain box too. and no pics of that either.

Neato, the ultimate htpc. I've been thinking of doing something similar with an old vcr but I haven't had the cash or balls to actually pull it off. :p

Heh my rocking Fedora File Server

Dual p200
Tyan Tiger
128 megs of 72 pin EDO
230 Watt generic Power Supply
20 gig maxtor IDE
9.1 gig IBM SCSI
9.1 GIG Fujitsu SCSI
33.6 GIG Fujitsu SCSI
Adaptec 2940UW
No Video Card
3Com TX905b

Amazing that the little POS power supply runs all those scsi drive but it does.
