Steve Jobs Really Hated Google

What a douchebag.
Android has been in the works long before Jobs unveiled the iOS.

This crap is the main reason I really hate Apple..even though I have an iPhone.

I think they have made some good products, no doubt their marketing is great, but they dont invent shit. They are good packagers of technology.

and then they get compared to MS all the time, guess what...MS has both a consumer brand and a business brand. The technology advancements MS makes in the business space are huge. Apple doesnt have ANYTHING there.

actually I do hate the taskbar, I hate the one button mouse. I dont hate everything apple but I cant stand the arrogance surrounding everything they make.

I abhor itunes & have an android phone, but in this particular case Jobs is right though... he did get ripped off... I just use android cause I hate the iphone more & windows phone is just too far from anything...

That was mostly Steve Jobs' personal arrogance manifesting itself in company decisions. Maybe with a new CEO that doesn't have an ego the size of a planet, apple can get a little more down to earth. Then again, arrogant elitism seems to being the main selling point of many apple products, especially the macbook

That left side of that pic covers something like 15 years of cell tech, Including a star-tac and an n-gage gaming handheld (not really a phone), the right side only covers the last 4-5 years, and only includes touchscreens which all have, by necessity, roughly the same shape.

Theres only so much you can do with a 3.5 inch screen and 4 buttons. If anything, all the modern phones look like palm pilots

the first iAnything was seen on the debut episode of StarTrek the Next Generation back in 1987 as one was handed to Captain Picard. They continued to use trekpads thru Deep Space Nine and Voyager... and long, long after they were off the air Steve Jobs claims to have come up with the iPad

Wish there was someway to add the Angrybirds theme to that picture. FYI. PADD or Personal Access Display Device, which had limited internal storage (for the 24th Century), but acted more like a cloud device directly connected to the ships super (uber) central computer; in other words a knock on iCloud. In Star Trek Enterprise which takes place 200 years before this they have them aswell and was also pre-iPad. If Apple could patent the wheel and charge every one for it, they would.

Any more last breaths to hold off the anti-trust lawsuit announced today that charges Apple with price collusion?

You forgot the first trunk mounted cell phone from the 1950s, and several other large screen candy bar form factor phones that predated the iPhone.

Apple popularizes stuff*, but doesn't often invent anything new.

* luckily for Apple, most electronics companies don't know how to polish a device for consumer usability. Ka-ching! for Apple, and almost nothing for the actual innovators.
