SO were supposed to put up with a POS for a year and hope they get it to work right? Your logic is astounding my friend. Rather just get a phone that works and works good instead of having to fiddle with it all the damn time.

So any word on when Android will actually support ActiveSync properly? My job just banned phones with that OS due to it not supporting remote management of password policies and remote wipes, not to mention most sites have said it was flaky anyways. I've already made my choice with the 3gs, but I'm just curious.

My guess is it'll be a long time. I don't think they're aiming for corporate at all right now. Anything they support for corporate is just a by product of their main effort. So don't plan on it until they actually advertise it. It may be years if not never.

I'm sure the iphone is better than droid in many ways, but the bottom line for me is that I'm trying to support something that is more open and Apple is not it. So I have droid and despite it's shortfalls, it has a number of things iphone doesn't, and overall I'm very happy with it. Very happy.

I am pretty sure Android will never support active sync.. google is all about no pc syncing with Android... it syncs to google's online apps only.. some 3rd party apps might make it sync to a pc though..

Exchange can enforce SOME policiesl, nothing like a blackberry or windows mobile. Not sure about the remote wipe.

The only thing that Apple does not support is on device encryption on the 3G, but they do support remote wipe and password policy which were the must haves. The 3GS, and late model Touches do support encryption.
