I ordered 2 cards Friday when they restocked. Discovered Saturday that my order status was "on order", meaning backorderd. So someone manually added more items than they had. Tried to cancel Sunday but because it's "on order" I cant cancel. Then they restocked again on Monday

This is what annoys me the most. Buy.com acknowledged on Saturday that it was indeed a database error but they still added more inventory on Monday.

Last time buy.com gets my money.

So their evil master plan is to ship as many wrong orders as possible so they can pay for the restocking and shipping costs both ways?

I got confirmation from Amazon that my card was charged today.

or he will be unpleasantly surprised to open his package and find what is supposed to be a 3870x2 is actually buzz jr for his ps2. This has been confirmed to me by the buy.com staff. they gave me a full refund and told me my buzz will be here tomorrow and just to keep it and not send it back.
It amazes me how many people refuse the believe it was a mistake ans still think they are getting a 3870x2.

I was hopeful till the end, but like you I got a Buzz Jr for Ps2 as well today.

they issued me a follow up email to the same effect: full refund, keep any items that arrive. they also promised me a $40 credit on any buy.com amaon marketplace purchase if i fwd them the order #.

so i just ordered guitar hero world tour guitar bundle for $45 with free shipping and am fwding the info to them now.

so i may not be getting 5 3870x2's (or the HD3650 i ordered as it was the same error) but i am getting GHWT and possibly some shitty PS2 games or w/e for $5 net. i count this as a win...also i've bought from buy.com a few times before and had no bad experiences. theyre not usually my first choice, but this reaffirms them among the sites on which i specifically browse for items.

I know the deal breaking is not entirely your fault, but you are one of the many that made it not work. I've done deals like this before too, but I only order 1 or 2. You should have known better.

Agreed as being greedy gets no one anything. And to make it worse it wasn't you buying a couple for spare or friends needed one. It was the fact you was going to buy a bunch and then shaft users here in the forums.

That is just wrong in my book there period. Don't get me wrong good deals are good deals and we all like to make money. But at your first post what you was going to wasn't no secret though.

It was a direct pricing mistake between a PS2 video game and a GFX card. Made no difference if someone ordered 1 or 5, wasnt gonna work either way.

It's not worth it anyway. Outdated, power-hungry card.
I wouldn't take it for free to use, only to resell.

I got an email back, refund and a $10 off coupon.

What? Did you not read the rest of the thread? No one was ever going to get any cards, because the item was not listed correctly.

My package came today. I refused delivery and now will check to make sure my credit card is credited.
