Windows 7 audio output problems

I wasnt sure where exactly to put this, so I hope this is the right place.

Here is the issue. In Vista, I was ableto have media monkey playing music through my speakers and use my logitech USB headphones to play games at the same time. This is the big issue here, I want to be able to use both my headphones and speakers at the same time. I cant find a way to force either Media Monkey or COD4 (my primary game) to use the output I prefer and Windows 7 wont let me switch them mid stream without changing the output for both. Please, someone help me fix yet another flaw that wasnt broken to begin with.

When I used 2 soundcards in Windows 7, I could only get output from both when the non Windows selected card was using digital (Foobar 2000 was configured to use this soundcard) and the selected soundcard in Windows was using analogue or digital (Winamp using Windows default soundcard).
The non selected card would NOT output via analogue, baffled me but I didnt care enough to resolve it.

well, you have a much different issue there.

Mine is software related to the OS and wondering if anyone else has found a way around this in windows 7
