Dragon Age: Origins is the spiritual successor to BioWare's critically acclaimed Baldur's Gate, featuring deep character customization and role-playing, morally challenging decisions, tactical party-based combat, and a wealth of gritty, mature sub-plots. It is a dark, heroic fantasy game that combines original storytelling techniques with classic role-playing challenges.

In Dragon Age, your choices change the world and affect the people around you. Certain situations, storylines, and conversation options will change drastically depending on your origin and your motivations. You choose your origin, and from that starting point, your story begins. You play through your character's early days, defining his or her background and motivation and begin to learn more about the world of Ferelden from your own distinct perspective. Your choice of origin defines how you will view the world and how it views you. Choose a sneaky, disrespected commoner and you will play a story that focuses around subtle skills and careful wordplay. Choose a noble origin and the world will be much more positive and helpful, but those jealous of your status will not be afraid to take what you have, violently if necessary.

From the reviews on this thread, this game looks pretty freakin awesome! Can't wait to get mine via USPS. I just hope my 5770 will be able to run it at max settings at 1920x1200!

Edit - just cancelled my 5770 order from Amazon.com and purchased a Powercolor 5850 from ncixs.com! Woot!

And to think, I paid $65 last week to Steam, and they won't even let me activate the install for another 15 hours.

Great price for a game from a great development team.

Shit! I didn't know this. I would have bought this game a long time ago if I did. In any case, I'll just go grab it on steam when I get home tonight for sure!

PC or PS3??? I always find myself frustrated when I try to play a game on console that I would normally play on PC. Anyone know if it will make a difference on this one?

Yes, most definitely. Console version POV and viewing is gimped (although the PS3 version is supposed to be prettier than the 360.

I chose free shipping and I live in CA. Here's the thing with them. When you pay via paypal, this other company (CarbonFrost Systems) handles their billing. When I looked up CarbonFrost Systems, I noticed that the contact phone number is exactly the same as BuyNextGen.com. Weird.

I also noticed on paypal that my payment was sent to a Georgia Tech (.edu) email address. Not sure what to think. The first time I called the number listed on BuyNextGen.com, I let it ring about twenty times and it ended up being a Verizon cell. The second time I called the guy actually answered and was able to look up my order and indicated that I should see it by Friday - give or take a day. He said I could call him back tomorrow and get tracking information. TBH - the guy didn't sound too professional, but he didn't seem shady either. I almost feel like this whole operation is run by this one guy from his home. I just hope I don't have to go through the issue of disputing this charge on paypal. I just want to get the dam game and play! I'll keep everyone up to date with my order.

I've bought from these guys a few times, I haven't had any problems at all as long as you understand that you may not get the game for a week unless you use one of the other shipping options that are not free. Other than the wait time I wouldn't hesitate to order from them.
