An airfilter is about it bro. It all depends on what you're willing to spend, because when it comes to those, you get what you pay for.
A small desktop sized model can run 70 bucks or so, but a room sized filter is around 100-150. The Ionic Breeze (I think, the one that sharper image sells) costs a small portion of your soul, but it's supposedly a good buy. Or you can get a good case and water cooling setup, that pulls less air into the case. Good luck!

I never use compressed air, or just any type of high pressure blower on electronics, I use a small hand held vacuum with various attachments. My reason behind this is because of you are using a blower, dust could get stuck under components that generate heat, and when dust is heated, it turns into carbon which is conductive, and could possibly short out components. I know its a long shot for that to happen, but better safe than sorry.

i only have one fan pulling in air.....that fan has 2 filters on it.
my heatsink fan has a filter on it. my top exhaust fan has a filter on the top. my case is pretty clean, hardly any dust inside after a few weeks of use. When I was running my superalien case, i had to clean it out every week due to dust build-up. PITA. That's one thing I love about this CM, its pretty well sealed when everything is put together.

I've got a purifier similar to an ionic breeze. They way they work is to magnetically charge the air. Dirt particles cling to the air particles and fall as dust, hence purifying the air. They create more dust. filters on your case would be the better way to go (cheaper too.)

I forget where I read this but I did it on my friend's case and it works really well (My case is held about 2 feet off the floor so dust isn't a problem) Take your intake fans, and stretch old panty-hose over them. It works like a charm for a quick/simple/cheap dust filter.

Technically, it's the same amount of dust, but more is on surfaces than in the air (and boy is it fresh air!)

Filters
One of the easiest (and least expensive) ways to reduce houshold dust is to use a high-quality filter in your furnace and change it every TWO months if you have pets. We recently switched to a 3M Filtrete Ultra Allergen filter and it seems to help keep the dust levels down. And it doesn't hurt to vacuum regularly and get the carpets cleaned.
