I don't like how the HD Tune line is so choppy. None of my other drives look like that
 
Looks fine to me. Try adjusting the block size in HDTune Pro if you want a smoother graph; but this doesn't indicate any problem whatsoever.
 
The drive is running great. I already have it completely filled with data in a linux box.

Yea but it sounds to me like he was comparing F3 7200rpm to F4 5400rpm. That's all fine, but something to keep in mind, if you 5400rpm disk beats your 7200rpm with sequential transfers, then that's very good; if it's just a bit lower it's not that bad either since it's competing against a 7200rpm drive instead of 5400rpm vs. 5400rpm.
