I've noticed that the panel isn't firmly attached on the right lower side, and barely on the left, wonder if that has something to do with it? Maybe when I did the "tap" on the left to see if I could lessen the blacklight bleed, I detracted it from the right?
Thanks. Probably similar. I don't know how to read one of those Color Calibration Reports but in the "Standard Mode (sRGB)" the gray bars(1-8) are almost none existent, very high in Blue 17 to 19. Very different from my U2414u which have high gray bars.
Mine doesn't appear to have an shades of gray. It looks very dull and completely washed out. Ran this test:

The bottom line is almost non-existent. You can't see any boxes in number 254, and you really have to look hard to see anything in box 253...
Don't have a display port on my video cards. Having to reset scanning every time I come out of sleep mode or reboot is becoming pretty frustrating. Any way to "lock" the settings?
Okay, found a way. In case anyone else runs into this problem, you go into the registry and find everything that...
Taking a quick look through that link, I see their solution is the one I tried. Yes, it works to move the image to full screen, but it only lasts till you reboot, then you're doing it all over again. So, its an AMD problem with HDMI, not specific to my monitor? As for pixel format, I'm not...
Just tried it on another system, using a newer AMD card than the last (HD4800 vs 3800) and on this computer, its seeing the monitor as a TV using HDMI. It displays in a box about half and inch in. I can get it to the corners using overscan in CCC but it still looks TV like. Think its going back.
I have the S24D360HL, which is pretty much the same only in white. Just using the default profile for the monitor supplied by Samsung. Looks better than the Dell U2414h I paid twice that amount for.
Okay, got this a week ago, resolved a lot of issues but still have these two and not sure if the first one is a defect or the way it is:
1. When I adjust the contrast from around 68 up to 90, some background shades on websites shift color, more pronounced moving from 80 to 90. The background...
Interesting. I also saw that flickering but thought it was my eyes or that I was imagining it. Now I have confirmation.
Did your A00 come backed in cardboard or foam?
Just repacked it as best I could. I did buy directly from Dell. With yours was it back with Styrofoam or all cardboard? Mine was entirely cardboard, what I'd expect if it were a refurb.
So, A00 is good? How would I know its not someone's returned unit? Didn't seem to be packed as well as previous Dell monitors I bought, and no caps on the cable ends to protect the pins like I recall my 2207 had. Makes me nervous, I don't like having stuff that's been in someone else's house...
WTF?? A03? I just got mine today, its Rev A00. Where do you find when it was manufactured? BTW, mine has a stuck white pixel right in the middle of the screen.
I asked them a year ago...they said to send the whole thing back (at my expense, of course). I've since messed around with the fan so much they'd likely send it straight back (again, at my expense). So its either I repair it or give up and buy a new one (not likely xfx).
Sprayed it out this morning, new hs paste a couple months ago. The noise goes away if I push it upwards...guessing if I laid the computer on its side it would be quiet. I don't game on the computer, wonder if I could get set it to its lowest setting and pull the fan?
My XFX4870 video card fan has always been loud but now its unbearable. Don't want to by a new card just to get rid of the noise, and shipping back would cost nearly as much as it worth (that, plus I've fiddled with it enough they wouldn't likely honour the warranty).
Question...can I just...
Looking for the best Tomato compatible wireless n router that's under $100cdn. Needs gigabyte ports. Liked the Tp-Link TL-WDR4300 at $64 but its not Tomato compatible (nor dd-wrt). Why tomato? Need to monitor internet usage, know who's connected to the router at any given time, and set time...
One with AMD drivers....they are included...when I removed the 12.10 drivers, many of my motherboard drivers when it it. But they came back with 12.6. My son's board (an Intel one) suffered a worse fate. The uninstall just keeps getting stuck and won't go forward.
Got anther question, how do you know which are display drivers and which are motherboard drivers using CC? They look identical and I can't see anything that would tell them apart by their name.
I install new drivers, yet its always drivers that are month's old that are reported. Why? They've not updating on my machine or my son's. We both had relatively older cards (3800 series my son's a 4800 series). Now that I mention it, mine no longer even have the AMD drivers!!!
Its going back today. Did check the memory one stick at a time, no errors. Got the temps under control with a Hyper212+. My vendor has agreed to take the mb, cpu and ram back for a refund...I'm going to start over with something else (likely still SB).
Never got a handle on the blue screens. Its only been getting worse, now with spontaneous reboots. Making arrangements to send the motherboard and ram back, hopefully for a refund then take a breather.
