Thanks for the info, so far I have configured the intel proset adaptor on the windows machine to have the interrupt moderation rate to off, increased the receive buffers to 4096 and transmit buffers to 16384, the number of RSS queues I have left at the default which were already set to 8.

I haven't done an iperf score yet, I am using SMB.
Copy paste in Windows 10 a 7gb media file from an NVME Corsair MP510 1tb to the windows single parity is slow, it starts vey quick up to half at 1.25gb and then slows down to an average of 30mb, the other way it's pretty fast starts at 1.34gb...

I have managed now to create a ZFS File system with a shares on with a guestOK, so looks all good, next will be transferring my data from the backup to the newly set up NAS and eventually tweak my 10gb connection which goes through a netgear 10gb switch between the windows 10 workstation back up...
Also, I am not able to access the server via putty with the below error
Access denied
Keyboard-interactive authentication prompts from server:
Edit: I have managed now accessing putty by de-selecting the box under "SSH" then "Auth" then "Attempt Keyboard interactive auth (SSH2).
I enabled user guest, so should the this be set to domain or workgroup or does it matter?
How do I create a folder and share it on the pool, also the pool that I have created is not showing, it was showing once I created it but not now, should I just import it or delete it and create again...
I have created a guest account via "smbadm enable-user guest" and something very strange, I can't see my RAIDZ2 vdev that I have created yesterday, I can only see the rpool when I go in the pools section?
I have also got "localhost smbd[19242] [ID 4133393 deamon.error] dyndns: failed to get...
Thank you _Gea, the drives have set up good automatically, do I still need to set up a guest account to access SMB, SMB is turned on but no guest account set up yet, does this needs to be done with or without password, I just can't remember how I set it up the last time.
huh weird, I am trying to install Napp-it via: wget -O - www.napp-it.org/nappit I perl and I am getting the below error

It has finally taken just over 71 hours to transfer my data base into the MS storage space backup and now ready to install OmniOS and Napp-it, however, I have got a couple of questions, I remember some time ago when I installed OmniOS and because of my old hdd's OmniOS installed somehow taking...
IMO, AMD for processor, if using mainly for gaming the AMD Ryzen 5 5600x is best and any Nvidia 3000 series GPU and you won't go wrong or need to update for a while.
AMD will possibly bring out some GPU's that are faster than Nvidia, but it won't be this year not even with their 6800xt or 6900xt.
Thank you _Gea, I will go with the 151036, can you please guide me to your step by step as I can't seem to find it, also, is there a program to start a lifetime access to the full version of Napp-it for non commercial use per 1 device basis without support?
Thanks
Thank you _Gea, due to the old drives and I need to get OmniOS to recognise the new drives for speed, I think I will need to re-install, I want to install the LTS but can I change the the new r151038 LTS from r151036 when this is available from Q1 2021?
I have seen a guide before which you have...
Do I need to consider anything else while upgrading my HDD's from 24 x 2tb to 6 x 14tb in my NAS, I am going to perform the following:
My windows 10 PC is the backup with windows 10 storage spaces using 3 x 14tb and ReFS file system, I will be reformatting the Windows backup first as when I...
My son just upgraded from the RTX 2070 to the RTX 3070 and the difference in gaming is a lot better, well worth the upgrade, getting a 3060 or a 3060TI will be a major upgrade to GTX 1660 or GTX 1660 Supper and these are not cheap currently either as there seems to be no GPU available currently...
I would wait a little longer for the Nvidia RTX 3060 to be out and in stock and get one of those I think the MSRP for these should be $370 but cuurently there's not stock around for any RTX 3000's and any that are out sell ever so quick, so if you are patient maybe in the summer the RTX 3060...
The monitor arrived and is very nice, the curve for this size is just about right as far as I can see, any less and it would be poinless, anymore and may make the monitor look like a bath tub, in my opinion.
The curve is 1900R so I don't think it's extreme, however, never had a curved monitor before so not sure how this translate in reall life, apart from the photos of the monitor on Dell's website.
My son has the 49" ultrawide Samsung monitor and is great, however, I don't have a lot of space on my desk as I have an HP Laser printer sitting on my desk and a 34" is the best size for me, hope I'll like it when it arrives, should be delivered today based on the tracking information.
Can someone recommend a monitor between 32" and 35" 3440 x 1440 ideally without a big bezel, support PIP and PBP, with two or more display ports and at around 500 with not a too big stand, hopefully adjustable, I am prepared to pay a little more exceptional quality or durability.
my usage is as...
Can anyone recommend which UPS would be best for the APC Smart-UPS 1500 as per below, the Panasonic model is prices $10.00 more than the Lucas model:

I have just received the Ryzen 9 3900x bought in Europe, I live in the UK and on the processor it has made in Malaysia, all the Ryzen 3000 videos or photos I have seen say made in China.
Where are these CPU made? I know they've been diffused in the USA & Tawai but it looks like some were made...
DHL made the delivery today, a brand new Intel x540-T2 retail exactely the same as they collected, the one they collected manufacturing date was 2016, this was made in 2018.
So all good.
Yes, brilliant service, DHL collected the defective one yesterday and I just had an e-mail that the replacement will be delivered tomorrow, wow, brilliant service.
I have received an e-mail from DHL express with a despatch label and instruction on how to package the goods, the collection by DHL will be made on Tuesday 20/08/2019.
I have received an e-mail from Intel with details on how to send the item, I will be receiving a separate e-mail from DHL for the collection of the X540-T2 to be returned to Netherlands, once this has been received and inspected, apparently I will be receiving a replacement x540-T2, so far so...
I will, initially they've asked for some photos and then they said that they have sent the case to Intel Europe team as I am based in the UK, so far haven't heard anything yet, but I have only received the e-mail yesterday.
I know what you mean, but I wanted something that works and if any issues they get resolved quickly, however, I have just got in touch with Intel support and they told me that the card is retail as it supports a valid yottamark code, so they've asked for two photographs one of each side and the...
Well...well...I have removed the intel x540-t2 and replaced it with a spare that I have and it all works good now, I guess it just died, I think I will be sending this one back for replacement or repair, I thing these have a lifetime waranty on them.
It's nice to see 10gb truncking working on 10gb but I can't see that is yet required with the current hard drives SSD speeds, in my case I just want the damn thing to work, however, I am sure, it is just my setup possibly that needs to be amended somehow.
All the devices are only three meters or so from the 10gb switch.
I can't get from the PC to the 10gb switch and this is my problem.
From the switch I can get to the NAS.
I can get from the NAS to the switch.
The x540 on my PC is somehow showing not connected with "X cable cable uplugged"...
I do have a router that does DHCP and some of my devices are setup with DHCP addressing however there are other devices and PC's that are using static IP addresses and for a NAS at least I wouldn't want DHCP even with reservation, I don't have any VLAN's setup.
iam just thinking because I use...
I have just added a switch Netgear xs708t 10gb switch and connected my PC and the OmniOS NAS via an intel x540-t2 on each.
I can see that the NAS connection on the switch is green and looks like working although I haven't tried to transfer anything to it yet as I can't get the Windows PC to...
Great thanks, I will check to see whether any new features or bug fixes for the already installed ones, if not I will well alone, otherwise I will go ffor it.
Thank you _Gea.
