I took a turion 64 dual core to Iraq and it worked great, the next time I came back with a core 2 duo with a 7900gs go and that was a terrible mistake. Those were a long few weeks for a reliable in hot weather computer showed up again. We played bioshock, battlefield 2 and mods for it, fallout 3...
They're spendy but I get 7-9 years out of the XS power/northstar AGMs in pickups. The oldest one right now is 6 years and a few months old and it still works fine though when it's not going to be used for weeks I put it on a tender or if it's been a fewer amount of weeks I'll put it on the 7 amp...
This is why I emplace laptops and they're just somewhat more mobile desktops in our use. They move in nice cases too. I do keep a ~$1500 laptop though for the portable stuff though.
I use Plexamp and Android auto too but most of the flac except the gigantic grateful dead discography is stored locally on the phone too. I do this to save battery and to make it work without cellular. There's plenty of places in AR and other places where cell phones don't work or infrastructure...
https://www.amazon.com/AAWireless-2022-Wireless-Automatically-Companion/dp/B0B71XC7VG these work great I have 4 of them. It enables you to use a fast usb pd charger to charge the phone instead of the measly 930 milliamps that most cars put to the port.
Shield still gets updates sometimes but sunshine and moonshine have taken over and are actively developed to replicate the game stream experience. edit not moonshine it's moonlight and i'm drunk.
I don't know what you mean by older but I bought one of the new ultra books a few months ago for storm chasing with the 1360p i5 and 32GB RAM and no dgpu and tried doom 2016, silent hunter III and IV, and battlebit remastered. It ran all of these just fine as well as Radar Omega.
The pi is a terrible server and jbod is unreliable. We have a 42u rack now but before that we had a coolermaster haf 932 with 13 12TB disks in it. That being said there are sata HATs and usb 3 to sata adapters.
It took a guy in a black shirt but comcast eventually fixed the Internet at our house, the tap as at the end of my driveway and they had to fish a new one under my driveway but since then it has worked perfectly for the last 6 years. Time between repeated bitching and resolution was about 3 red...
behold the dearly departed 20lb killing machine and extreme cuddling enthusiast. He liked to swim with custom floaties and ride on any machine we tried with him without freaking out. He only really hated tornadoes, other cats, and dogs under ~50 pounds. We may or may not have had a woodpecker...
It released the purple smoke and it smelled so bad it made my kitty with the iron stomach and utterly fearless brain vomit on the carpet and fried the rig. They demanded the rig be sent off on our dime for inspection and then they lost all the disks (4 250GB) and all the ram (2GB ddr 533 i...
Those ones use 2 sealed lead acid batteries and can do 900-1000 watts on battery. If you draw less than that it will last a little longer than doing a clean shutdown before it dies. The one OP linked is half the power.
OCZ sold me a defective PSU in 2005 and my mom was a lawyer and had sued them in Federal Court with her friend that was also a lawyer but more experienced in federal court. They settled for $5,000 very quickly.
If you're going to persist with hibernation you might want to replace your CPU and RAM on a schedule which means motherboards too. Human brains are more malleable than computers unless you ring the bell too hard or if it doesn't grow correctly.
My friend is the maintenance manager at a conglomerate that owns several apt complexes in the area. His apartment is huge, has 8 unused 20a circuits and he doesn't pay for electricity.
Ayn Odin 2 and the steam deck are the best at this, the odin for lightness and portability and the steam deck for brute power and more storage plus steamos or windows instead of android. Wifi tethering is not hard... Company lan is monitored and unless it's your company surfing the...
I love copper wires, they work great. The last time I used some was #10 wire from the group 27 agm battery in my f150 to the bed after cutting a hole for https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PT67XBT
and 3x https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001U4ZZPK in the bed on the stb side next to where it turns to the aft...
My wife made me a keeper for it to stick to the side of my workbench instead of making another one for the nth time. I have a seasonic bag full of these screwdrivers.
I love the 30 amp ones and that my house's upstairs breaker box was only 1/4 populated when we bought the house. Now it has 2 30a circuits for computers and 3 60a breakers for bev chargers or welding plug and the downstairs 30a is unused because I love our 9 cubic feet gas dryer. It could do...
I bought my aeron in 2013 and except for breaking one of the mounts via leaning over too far to pet recalcitrant cats (they came to fix it the next day) I have loved it. I have 4 of them now. Aeron size c ftw though my wife hates them.
Gigantic gpu heatsinks and cpu heatsinks can make it a major pain to unlatch PCIE latches, I have built ~jigs to facilitate this a few times, my favorite way being to use the noctua screwdriver and some heat to add a bit of a hook to it.
It's easy af though, just google AT&T sim unlocking after payoff and it'll take your right to it. After you request it the instructions to accomplish it appear in your email in a minute or two.
